Each mallard duck call is completely handmade from start to finish. Only the best materials are used in making my calls. The inserts are a single reed timber call however they can get loud if need be. Each insert is hand filed and sanded to find the perfect sound in each call.
All Calls are made with an insert that is perfectly fit with an “o” ring and shoulder. I have found the “o” ring fit to be much better for the outdoors. The problem with friction fit calls like most manufactures use is the waterfowl hunter is constantly moving and vibration causes the insert to come lose. When you need your call the most don’t worry about looking for the other half of the call know it will be there with the “o” ring fit. Below is a picture of an “o” ring and shoulder insert.

Only a few woods are known to have the density needed to make a great sounding duck call. The three woods shown below have the best tone qualities available from wood.
